Royal FC in semi-finals
Royal FC, Siliguri demolished Jamshedpur FC (reserves) 4-1 on Tuesday to storm into the semi-final of the 39th Governor’s Gold Cup being played at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.
Debashis Rai scored a hattrick for the Siliguri club with local Tempa Lhendup Bhutia netting one goal.
Gaurab Mukhi scored the lone goal for Jamshedpur FC (reserves) in the 70th minute.
Ashish Chettri of Royal FC got a red card in the second half.
Sikkimese footballer Boxer Pradhan, who had joined Jamshedpur FC (reserves) recently, captained the team at his home ground.
On Wednesday, Sikkim Police will play against Punjab Police in the second quarterfinal. Time 2 pm
