Mountain biking competition at Namchi Mahotsav

NAMCHI (IPR): Cultural Affairs minister G.M. Gurung flagged off a mountain biking competition during the third day of Namchi Mahotsav celebration today.
This competition had a total of 26 participants with 12-year-old Phuntsok Tashi Bhutia of Namchi as the youngest competitor. The venue for this exciting escapade was from Namchi central point to Bhanjyang and then back to central park.
Aslesha Kulung from Namchi and Tshering Lhamu Sherpa from Chemchey stood first and second respectively in girls’ competition. Similarly in the boys’ category, Aniket Sharma from Ranipool, Pema Wangyal Sherpa from Rangpo and Sagar Rai from Chemchey stood first, second and third respectively.
The winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates.
