Governor Ganga Prasad today handed over financial grants to representatives of three organisations including a school at Raj Bhawan. The financial assistances were sanctioned during the visits of the Governor to these organisations, informs a Raj Bhawan release.
The assistances include Rs. 50,000 to Sikkim Sisters NGO running a Pawan Dristi girls shelter home at Uttarey, Rs. 25,000 to Sikkim Bihari Jagran Manch for setting up of library at Bihari Bhawan Singtam and Rs. 25,000 to Dentam Senior Secondary School for strengthening library facility.
In addition to the above financial assistance from Governor’s discretionary fund, the Governor also handed over Rs. 25,000 each from his personal account to Sikkim Bihari Jagran Manch and Dentam Senior Secondary School towards strengthening the library in a bid to inculcate reading habit among students and youths.
The Governor also conveyed his blessings and good wishes to the organisations for their social and charitable initiatives.
