CM calls on DoNER minister, seeks consideration of State projects

NEW DELHI,(IPR): Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) called on Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Development of North Eastern Region- cum- Minister of State of PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pension, Atomic Energy & Space, at New Delhi today.
The Chief Minister discussed about the fund to be provided from the Ministry of DoNER at a tune of Rs.160 crore for the installation of medical equipment and furniture as a special case at Multi-speciality Hospital. He also discussed about the construction of district hospital at Mangan.
The Chief Minister placed the request to consider 100% grant on the projects to the State to be considered by DoNER and North East Council.
The Minister of State informed that all the projects under North East Infrastructure Development Schemes will be funded with 100% central grant in future.
Under the same schemes, the Chief Minister informed the minister about the 19 projects submitted by the State government at a cost of Rs.1284.53 crore to the Ministry to be considered for the infrastructural development.
The Minister directed his secretary to submit the details of the meeting held at New Delhi with the secretary, DoNER and other officials with the chief secretary of Sikkim.
Resident Commissioner Ashwani Chand is directed by both the Chief Minister and the minister to pursue the projects submitted by the State government and give report to the minister in reasonable intervals.
