Kalimpong municipality dedicates park to litterateur Parasmani Pradhan

KALIMPONG:
A park under the Green City mission of Kalimpong Municipality was inaugurated today at Chest Clinic area here.
The park has been named 'Parasmani Udyan', in honour of veteran Nepali litterateur Parasmani Pradhan. A life size statue of Pradhan was also unveiled today.
Kalimpong Municipality under the Green City mission has taken the initiative to construct parks in different areas of Kalimpong.  
Bina Pradhan, the daughter-in-law of Late Parasmani Pradhan was present as the chief guest along with Parasmani Pradhan’s grandsons Bharat Mani Pradhan, Hiran Pradhan, Uday Mani Pradhan and Devendra Mani, former Kalimpong College principal G.S. Yonzon and councillors of different wards.
Kalimpong Municipality chairman Ravi Pradhan informed about their initiative to build parks and honour the literary figures of the Hills.
He added the municipality will further renovate the existing Chest Clinic area and construct a library, a conference hall, a parking lot and a gym in the area.
