Official meetings of departments should be done in afternoons: CM

NAMCHI: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) chaired a meeting with officials at his residence on August 11 which was attended by chief secretary A.K. Shrivastava, DC (South) Ragul K, SP (South) Prawin Gurung and MEO (Namchi) Samdup Lepcha.
The Chief Minister spoke at length about the various official circulations issued by the State government and appraised that all the officials should adhere to the circulation. He also spoke about the various development works which have been undertaken in Namchi including its beautification, efficient disaster management and district administration system.
Additionally, the Chief Minister also spoke about employees working overtime and emphasized that these employees are an example in smooth functioning of the State government administration and are pro-actively working for the betterment of the general public. He also advised that official meetings of any department across the State should be placed during the afternoons as he explained that the public who visit the offices for their work should not be hampered due to the unavailability of the officials attending the meetings.
