Acting on a tip-off, a District Revenue Intelligence (DRI) team has arrested three men with 10 kg of gold at Gowalpokhri, Phansidewa. Altogether 60 gold bars were recovered from the accused persons who were heading towards Kolkata from Mizoram in a private car.
The market value of the seized gold is said to be Rs. 3.80 crore.
According to a DRI source, the accused persons are from Mizoram and were smuggling the gold to Kolkata.
The accused persons were produced before the court here today.
