12 primary contacts of Army man tests positive, all shifted to Bagodgra

GANGTOK: Twelve Army personnel in Sikkim tested positive for coronavirus and have been shifted to the Army Covid-19 treatment centre at Bagdogra near Siliguri.
In his health bulletin on Thursday evening, Health secretary-cum-director general Dr. Pempa T. Bhutia informed that the results of 12 Army personnel came positive yesterday from the STNM hospital viral testing lab. The 12 positive cases were primary contacts of the Army man who had been tested positive recently, he said.
Dr. Bhutia informed that the 12 new positive cases along with the first positive case of the Army have been shifted to the Army hospital at Bagdogra. The secondary contacts of the Covid-19 Army personnel have also been shifted to Bagdogra, he informed.
The Covid-19 figure in Sikkim stands at 101 which include 53 patients who have been discharged from hospitals after successfully recovering from the contagion. The number of active cases (admitted in hospitals) is 35 while the 13 Army positive cases are recorded as ‘migrated out’ having being shifted to the Army hospital at Bagdogra.
