1st All Sikkim Chief Minister’s Football League kicks-off today

GANGTOK,: The 1st All Sikkim Chief Minister’s Football League 2022 will kick-off simultaneously at the six districts of the State on Monday on the occasion of National Sports Day 2022.
The venues for the event are Naga ground in Mangan, Tadong NBBDC ground in Gangtok, St. Xavier’s School ground in Pakyong, Soreng school ground in Soreng, Kyongsa ground in Gyalshing and Bhaichung Stadium in Namchi.
A Sikkim Football Association (SFA) press release informs that the State-level launching of the league is taking place at the Bhaichung Stadium.
The league is being organised by the SFA in close coordination with Sports & Youth Affairs department.
SFA president Menla Ethenpa, in the press statement, has thanked the government for encouraging the association to conduct the ‘C’ division league throughout Sikkim from the block level. This will undoubtedly help the players from the grassroots to showcase their talent and sharpen it, he said.
