GANGTOK,: Aakraman FC has won the Losoong-Namsoong Futsal Tournament 2020 organised by Chandmari United SC at Fitnest Futsal Arena, Chandmari here.
In the final played on Tuesday evening, Aakraman FC overcame Mayal FC with a thrilling scoreline of 8-7.
MLA Sonam Venchungpa and IT department advisor Tenzing Lamtha handed over the trophies and cash prizes to the winners and runners up.
Sangay Bhutia of Mayal FC bagged the highest scorer trophy for his 22 goals in the tournament. The most promising player award was presented to Karma Wangchuk Bhutia of Chandmari FC.
Robin Sharma of Mayal FC was adjudged as the man of the tournament while man of the final match trophy went to Avinash Chettri of Aakraman FC.
A total of 28 teams had participated in this tournament which started on December 21.
Chandmari United SC had organised the futsal tournament as a tribute to world football legend Diego Maradona who passed away recently. It was also dedicated to late Phigu Bhutia of Chandmari for his contribution towards development of football.
