An informal letter to all the people trying to survive the pandemic

Dear Editor,
The situation is really tough right now. We all are going through so much of stress and anxiety. There is fear in everyone's mind about the devastating surge of COVID-19. They say that the second wave of coronavirus has hit India hard and the situation of our state Sikkim is also very bad due to the recent sudden rise in COVID cases.
And the worst part is everyone is blaming the Government for this catastrophe due to the second wave. According to me, yes there was some fault in the management of the pandemic from the Government side. But I would also not put all the blame to the Government because we as a citizen were also at fault for not taking the situation seriously.
When the number of cases had gone down from the first wave of COVID-19, all of us had thought this is the end and did not care much to take precautions. Therefore, I believe all of us are to be blamed. And let me make it clear that I do not belong to any political organisation and humbly request you not to look at this from a political angle. Let's be responsible enough to accept our mistakes. This is the time to unite as one and save humanity from this deadly virus. Let's stop spreading hatred in social media, let's keep politics aside for now. Let's not just point out each other's mistakes rather let's come together and discuss the possible solutions to win this war against COVID. Let's help each other. Let’s spread some positivity around us.
Well, I know am not a fit person to give advice because am not a psychologist, am not a doctor, am not a leader, am just a common adult who is going through the same difficult phase of life. And I am not saying that I am strong and positive all the time. Yes even am scared and finding it hard to survive but am just trying to help others while helping myself because I believe the world needs everyone's support right now to win this battle. Let's take extra care about our mental and physical health. Let's do physical exercise, half an hour breathing exercise daily to keep us physically and mentally healthy. I have been doing this for few months now and believe me it really helps. Let's try to divert our mind by watching some good movies, indulging in reading some good books. All of us have to go through this. We have no choice. We have to survive in spite of all this by taking precautions at every level. This is just a phase and it will pass soon and that day is not far when you and I will go shopping without wearing a mask. Yes, we will win this battle and we will survive. Till then let's stay strong and help the world to win this battle in our own little efforts.
Your’s etc,
A Common Citizen of India,
