Anju Tamang in Indian squad for upcoming friendlies

GANGTOK,: Footballer Anju Tamang has been named in the 23-member Indian squad for friendlies scheduled next month.
Indian women’s football team head coach Thomas Dennerby announced the squad Monday for the upcoming friendly matches in the UAE and Bahrain, starting from October 2.
Anju Tamang is a forward.
Sikkim Football Association (SFA) president Menla Ethenpa in a press statement on Wednesday, said, “Anju is excited to play for India once again in post-pandemic scenario. SFA wishes her and team India best of luck.”
The team India will play two friendly matches in the UAE – against the UAE on October 2 and Tunisia on October 4. The team will then travel to Bahrain, where they will play two friendlies against Bahrain on October 10 and Chinese Taipei on October 13.
