Love Yourself: Fully, Honestly

The lockdown 2020 has changed the way world functions. We were all asked to stay happy at home, trying to live a new life in this sudden new world.
All of us were at home. Stories of how some of us were not able to cope up with the new functioning world came to surface. Yes, it was difficult staying at home 24*7.
The Pandemic 2020 has taught us what it means to be with ourselves. LOVING ourselves as we are, and ACCEPTING ourselves as we are.
We all are so busy in our daily lives that we do not pause and think about ourselves for a moment. We continue with our lives like a robot. It’s hightime, we think about our own self, about appreciating our own self.
When was the last time you said to yourself, “Yes, I am good.” Or do you always find yourself saying, “I am always doing the wrong things. Will I ever do anything right?”
It is so important to love yourself, to appreciate the goodness in you. None of us are perfect, but to give negative things a priority over the best things in you is not required in our life.
We should not be blaming ourselves for everything thatgoes wrong. It’s life. Somedaywill be good, and others excellent. There is no need to feel guilty about anything. We try our best to do everything and sometimes things happen that are not in our control and we should just let them go.
It’s important to celebrate parts of your life that you like and love. It’s important to nurture yourself so that you can grow beautifully to your worth. Just to constantly bash yourself with all the criticism is not going to do any good.
We all are troubling ourselves with negative views about ourselves. Why not shift the focus from a self-blaming game to a self-loving game. When you do this, you will see functioning yourself in a better way, to your full capacity.
Identify, acknowledge, and celebrate your strengths.
Calm your inner critic with a realistic mantra like “I am only human, I am doing the best that I can and that is all I can do.”
Don’t try to be the best in everything you do, but give your best shot. That is only possible when you love yourself, appreciate yourself.
For a good mental health, it is important to love yourself instead of abusing yourself. Your self-worth is important. Don’t let people around you bog you down with negativity. We don’t want that in our lives.
Wake up with a SMILE.
Wake up in the morning and think about what you’re grateful for.
When you love yourself, everything is possible!!
Find a friend or a support system to talk to when feeling low.
Your psychologist, counsellor is always there to listen to your concerns, to lift you up, to help you appreciate yourself, to help you find your worth. They are not going to judge you in any way. Don’t hesitate to let them help you.
