SDF to celebrate 28th Foundation Day at party headquarters

GANGTOK: The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) is celebrating its 28th foundation day programme at SDF Bhawan, Indira Bypass in Gangtok on March 4. It is the first foundation day celebration of the SDF after being voted out of government after 25 years in the 2019 Assembly election.
A SDF release informs that the meeting to discuss about the upcoming foundation day programme was held on Monday at Ghurpishey, the residence of party president and former Chief Minister Pawan Chamling near Namchi. It was attended by party functionaries including D.B. Thapa, K.T.Gyaltsen, G.M. Gurung and R.B. Subba and party workers.
In his address, Chamling said the party has decided to celebrate its foundation day at SDF Bhawan, Gangtok. He directed the members to form a celebration committee at the earliest and directed all the party members to hoist the SDF flag in different districts and block-level offices during the day.
Addressing the gathering, Chamling said that each and every party member should be connected and take responsibility to make a grand show. We should not fear anything; Janta is with us, he said. He urged the youths to participate in the programme as youths are the pillar and future, and should take responsibility to make Sikkim better.
