Sen Hangma latest Sikkimese woman to be eligible to officiate national-level football matches

GANGTOK,: Sen Hangma Subba from Langang, West Sikkim cleared the examination for the national level Category-2 football referee conducted by All India Football Federation on January 11 at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

The SFA Referee Board member was among the 14 women referees to clear the examination.

Sen Hangma is the fourth women referee from Sikkim to earn this certification after Phurki Lhamu Bhutia, Reshmi Chettri and Precilla.

Sikkim Football Association president Menla Ethenpa congratulated Sen Hangma and SFA Referee Board’s head of referees Bikash Pradhan and secretary Subhas Tamang for yet another feather in the cap of SFA. The SFA also congratulated Chamchuk Lama, the mentor and trainer of Sen Hangma.
