Sikkim trounces Nagaland in NE Women’s Football League Championship

GANGTOK,: Sikkim on Wednesday trounced Nagaland 4-1 to continue its undefeated run in the ongoing 1st NE Women’s Football League Championship 2022 at Imphal.
Laxmi Tamang opened the scoring with an assist from Nuskan Subba in the 11th minute. She then provided the assist for Naucha to double the lead in the 19th minute.
Lhako Phuti Bhutia scored the goal of the match by bending a corner kick into the net. The fourth goal came from Pushpa in the 48th minute after being set up by Lhako Phuti.
Sikkim has registered three wins and one draw in their four games so far. They play against Meghalaya on Thursday, a Sikkim Football Association press release informs.
