State leaders meet BJP president Nadda

GANGTOK: A delegation of BJP Sikkim unit led by its president D.B. Chauhan called on newly elected BJP national president J.P. Nadda at New Delhi and congratulated him on being elected as the party chief.
The Sikkim BJP team comprising president Chauhan, general secretary S.B. Karki and treasurer G.D. Agarwal also updated Nadda on the party’s organizational and other political activities in the State. They also expressed that under Nadda’s leadership, the party would further grow in Sikkim and involve more and more people in the party’s nationalist ideals. They also invited the new president to visit Sikkim for organizational event in the State, a BJP release informs.
Nadda, a senior BJP leader and former Union minister, was elected the BJP national president on January 20. Earlier, at least 21 State units of the BJP have already elected their State presidents and Nadda would now appoint State party presidents for the remaining 12 State units including Sikkim.
