Three selected for Tata Trusts FA

GANGTOK: Three footballers from Sikkim and the hills are a step away from getting into one of the best football academies in India.

Adriel Pradhan and Adrash Lamichaney from Sikkim, Kharon Subba from Kalimpong have been shortlisted for the final selection trials for the Jamshedpur-based Tata Trusts Football Academy.

Sikkim Football Association (SFA) in collaboration with Tata Trusts Centre for Excellence had conducted a two-day open football scouting at Paljor Stadium recently for under-13 and under-14 boy footballers.

A total number of 165 boys from the across the State and Kalimpong and Darjeeling hills had participated. Out of them, three were shortlisted for the final trials to be held at Aizawl, Mizoram. 

A Sikkim Football Association press release informs, SFA president Menla Ethenpa congratulated the trio and hoped that they will get through in the final selection at Aizawl. He has also thanked Tata Trusts for holding the trial at Gangtok and expressed hope to work in some more projects with them in near future.
