Two Covid-19 cases in Siliguri

SILIGURI: Two persons living in different localities of Siliguri town were tested Covid-19 positive after their swab reports arrived on Monday morning.
Both the persons were at home quarantine and being monitored by the district Health officials. On Sunday, their swabs were collected at Siliguri hospital for testing.
Chief medical officer PralayAcharya confirmed about the two positive Covid-19 cases in Siliguri. Yes, two patients tested Covid-19 positive, he told SIKKIM EXPRESS.
As per the information available, one patient had a travel history of Kolkata and had recently returned to Siliguri from Kolkata. The patient was under home quarantine.
Another patient is a fruit seller.
Both would be admitted in the Covid-19 designated centre at Dr. Chang’s Nursing Home in Siliguri.
Health officials and police have started tracing out the people with whom the two persons had contact.
Administration has started sealing the localities in Siliguri where the two patients lived to make the two wards as containments.
