Yangang winsmost innovative tourism product award

Yangang in South Sikkim has been named as the most innovative tourism product of the year in one of the prestigious and only region-based Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Awards of the country.
The village in South Sikkim has been selected for its introduction of number of iconic projects coming up in the area and the start of a unique marketing campaign. The award was presented during the World Tourism Day event organized by Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Development Network(HHTDN ) and supported by Association for Conversation of Tourism at Siliguri on Sunday, a press release informs.
Entrepreneur and tourism activist from YangangRobin Basnet and State Home department deputy secretary/ Protocol officer Sharmista Pradhan received the award on behalf of Sikkim in the presence of West Bengal Tourism minister Gautam Deb and Regional Director of Tourism, Government of India SagnikChoudhury.
Speaking at the function, Basnett introduced Yangang as the new tourism destination and appealed the fraternity to work together to develop the region in a sustainable way.
