A Childhood Without Fear: A Promise of Safety, Awareness and Hope

As a law student, I have come to understand that the law is not merely a collection of rules. It is, at its heart, a promise of protection. And that promise should begin with our children. I  dream of a country where every child, in every state and every community, grows up knowing what safety feels like. No child should have to carry the weight of trauma, fear or confusion caused by an experience they did not understand or deserve. Teaching children about good touch and bad touch is not about frightening them. It is about giving them the language, confidence and knowledge to recognise when a boundary has been crossed and to know that they have the right to say no.

In an age of rapidly changing digital media, newspapers remain deeply relevant. They inform, educate and create conversations that reach families and communities beyond the classroom. It is equally important that children learn to engage with newspapers, not simply as readers, but as young citizens who understand the world around them . And to address our lovely parents ,please encourage and inculcate in your children the habit of reading newspapers, so they grow aware of social issues, understand the world around them, and recognise that newspapers, despite changing times, will never lose their relevance.

My hope is simple-that every child is protected, heard and believed, and that no child ever has to grow up carrying a trauma that could have been prevented through awareness.
