Anjeeta Rai elected as Namchi zilla adhakshya

NAMCHI, (IPR):  The first meeting of the newly elected Zilla and Gram Panchayat members of Namchi district was convened at the conference hall of the District Administrative Centre, Namchi today.

The meeting was chaired by the DC-cum-Presiding Officer (Namchi) M. Bharani Kumar in presence of ADC (Namchi) Anant Jain, SDM (Namchi) Chiran Rizal and SDM(HQ) Mahendra Chettri and other officials.

Kumar conducted the election for the posts of Zilla Adhakshya and Zilla Upadhakshya under Namchi district.

Anjeeta Rai from Sukrabarey-Suntaley territorial constituency was elected unopposed as zilla adhakshya. Likewise, Bikash Tamang from Kateng-Mamring territorial constituency was elected unopposed as zilla upadhakshya.

Following this, the election of Sabhapati and Upa-Sabhapati of all 54 GPUs of Namchi district was also conducted.

Later on the day, Anjeeta Rai, the new zilla adhakshya and Bikash Tamang, the new upadhakshya for Namchi district visited Namchi Zilla Bhawan. They were accompanied by panchayats and were extended a warm welcome by DPO (Zilla) Karzang D. Lassopa and other office staff. Additionally, the DPO also gave a brief tour of the bhawan.
