Bimonthly joint inspection of Gati hydel power plant

PAKYONG, (IPR): The bimonthly joint inspection of Gati Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. was conducted today at Rongli.

The inspection was led by ADC Pakyong, Anupa Tamling along with DFO (T) Thenmozhi V, SDM Rongli, SDPO Rongli, JD, Mines & Geology department, SE Rongli, Power department, Deputy Fire Officer Gangtok, DE, Water Resource department, DPO Pakyong, RO Rongli, and officials from Gati Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.

During the inspection, the ADC Pakyong enquired about the safety measures undertaken by Gati, including clear sign boards and a proper barricade of the Rongli dam area to avoid any untoward situation.

The ADC also evaluated the emergency safety gear such as alarms and safety harnesses that are used. She assessed whether the equipment was actually in excellent working condition.

The team also conducted a thorough tour of the plant site, during which the Gati officials informed them of the various technical facets of the power plant.

The inspection was followed by a meeting, presided over by ADC Pakyong, between representatives from Gati Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. and officials from the relevant agency.

The last action report taken was reviewed during the meeting, and several observations were made, including the installation of clear board signs, sirens, and appropriate fencing close to the reservoir catchment area.
