CAP Sikkim reviews party’s outreach campaign and presence in Namchi district

GANGTOK, : The Namchi District Executive Council of the Citizen Action Party (CAP) Sikkim on Friday convened a significant district-level meeting at the district party office located in Namchi Bazaar.

The meeting was chaired by CAP Sikkim president Ganesh K. Rai and witnessed the active participation of senior district leadership including D.B. Gurung (president, Namchi DEC), vice presidents Sanju Rai, Bikash Sharma, Prashant Babu Chettri, and Kiran Zimba, along with general secretaries Prakash Parajuli, Y.N. Mishra, R.P. Gurung, council president H.B. Rai, Bijay Rai, secretaries Robin Rai and Divas Gurung, and other prominent leaders from across Namchi district.

A CAP Sikkim press release informs that the session commenced with a detailed report on the formation of various Assembly Constituency Executive Councils and Frontal Councils under Namchi district. During the meeting, appointment orders were formally handed over to newly appointed leaders by the party president.

D.B. Gurung (Stephen) presented a comprehensive district-level report and reaffirmed the party’s growing influence across Namchi district. He also highlighted the district's commitment to building a robust grassroots presence across all seven constituencies.

In his presidential address, CAP Sikkim president Ganesh K. Rai congratulated the newly appointed council leaders and conveyed his best wishes for their future endeavors in strengthening the party at every level. He lauded the Namchi district committee for its proactive role and commended its leaders for turning the district into a model unit within the party framework.

Rai further stressed the importance of initiating activity-based programs that cater to the needs of the larger public. He urged party leaders to commit their time and energy to connect with people at the grassroots and actively engage in party work. He underscored the moral responsibility of party leaders to ensure that the people of Sikkim do not suffer due to flawed government policies, the release mentions.

Drawing from the examples of visionary leaders, Rai noted how sacrifices, dedication, and resilience had shaped the lives of ordinary citizens. He encouraged the CAP leaders to emulate such values and make community service their guiding principle.

He also placed special emphasis on strengthening the party through intensive membership drives at every level, noting that such efforts are not only organizationally empowering but also serve as a meaningful way to engage with the people.
