Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay attended the 12th edition of Sherpa Gyalpo Losar

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay on Sunday attended the 12th edition of Sherpa Gyalpo Losar cum Eco-Village Tourism 2026 at Rukumtar, Temi-Namphing constituency. 

The celebration beautifully reflected the rich cultural heritage of the Sherpa community while highlighting the importance of eco-village tourism. 

The Chief Minister commended the organizers and community members for making this event a symbol of cultural pride and sustainable development.

“In my speech, I emphasized that we must work collectively towards developing this area as a strong tourism destination, while ensuring that growth remains sustainable and inclusive. I stated that we have consistently supported the constituency through various developmental schemes and initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and infrastructure,” shared the Chief Minister on his social media page.

“As a result of these continued efforts, the area has witnessed steady progress, and I reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthening tourism, empowering local communities, and ensuring holistic development for the people,” the Chief Minister added.
