CM extends best wishes to Team Sikkim for senior women’s national football championship

SILIGURI, (IPR): Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay met the senior women’s football team of Sikkim led by head coach Puspa Gurung here at Siliguri this morning.

The team is all set to represent the State in the final round of the 29th Senior Women’s National Football Championship for the Raj Mata Juabai Trophy 2024-25. The prestigious tournament will kick off in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh on December 11.

During the interaction with the Chief Minister, the team and officials shared their enthusiasm and determination to make Sikkim proud on the national stage.

Extending his best wishes, the Chief Minister who is also a football enthusiast praised the team’s dedication and urged them to continue demonstrating exemplary sportsmanship throughout the competition.

As the countdown begins, the Sikkim team carries the hope of the State, striving to leave an indelible mark on the national football landscape.
