CM visits sacred temples in Nepal, offer prayers for Sikkim

GANGTOK, : Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay visited the holy temples of Pashupatinath and Manakamana in Nepal, and offered his prayers for the people of Sikkim.

In a social media post on Friday, the Chief Minister shared that he visited the holy Pashupatinath Temple and offered prayers with deep devotion and humility. On this sacred occasion, I sought divine blessings for the people of Sikkim, praying for their good health, peace, prosperity, and overall wellbeing, he said.

During his visit, the Chief Minister planted a Holy Parijat sapling within the serene and sacred premises of the Pashupatinath Temple, symbolising faith, renewal, and reverence for nature.

The profound spiritual ambience of the temple was deeply moving and left me feeling blessed, rejuvenated, and spiritually enriched, he added.

Earlier, the Chief Minister visited the sacred shrine of Manakamana Temple in Nepal, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati.

Perched atop a hill at a commanding height, the temple offers deep spiritual solace along with a serene and awe-inspiring ambience that uplifts the soul and instils a sense of inner peace, bliss, harmony, and fulfilment.

During my visit, I offered with obeisance, my earnest prayers for the wellbeing, happiness, and prosperity of our people, for the upliftment of the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable, and for the overall development, peace, and progress of our State and the nation, said the Chief Minister on social media.

Guided by the noble philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – the world is one family, I also prayed for universal peace, harmony, and the wellbeing of people across the globe, he added.

The Chief Minister extended his heartiest gratitude to all those who extended their support and cooperation during this pilgrimage and made this sacred visit possible.
