Comprehensive review meeting on 50th Statehood celebrations

GANGTOK, (IPR): A comprehensive status review meeting for the 50 years of Statehood celebrations was held today at Tashiling Secretariat under the chairmanship of chief administrator VB Pathak and chief secretary R Telang.

The meeting was attended by Heads of Departments (HODs) and senior officials from all government departments to assess the progress and preparedness for the upcoming State Day on May 16, 2025.

The session commenced with an overview of the golden jubilee vision, followed by department-wise presentations on the various activities and initiatives being undertaken to mark the occasion. Each department highlighted its key programmes designed to showcase Sikkim’s remarkable journey over the past five decades.

The chief administrator lauded the departments for their proactive engagement and underscored the importance of seamless inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth and impactful execution of all planned events. He further stressed that the celebrations must reflect the collective achievements and aspirations of the people of Sikkim.
