GEYZING,: The knockout round of Geyzing League football tournament, an initiative of Geyzing District Football Association (GDFA), kicked-off Saurday at Kyongsa playground after culmination of league round which had begun on June 7.

The first match of the knockout round saw Geetang - Karmatar Sporting Club (GKSC) progressing to the next round by defeating Sanchaman Limboo Degree College, Geyzing (SDCG) 2 to 1.

The match in the first half was dominated by an energetic SDCG who came all guns blazing to score the first goal beating the strong defence of GKSC. However, GKSC players kept their nerve and finally had their chance to level the score 1 - 1 in the first half. The first half ended with the score levelled at 1 - 1, but the second half saw GKSC, when awarded a corner scoring a superb and a well-coordinated goal leading the team to 2 - 1 lead.
