Have found public acceptance as a formidable opposition party, says CAP Sikkim

GANGTOK,: Citizen Action Party (CAP) Sikkim has said people have accepted it as a formidable opposition party after crossing 54 straight days of public outreach campaign on Monday.

In a press statement, CAP Sikkim maintained that youths are increasingly attracted towards the party which will encourage the people to come forward in support.

The CAP Sikkim added it has already announced restoration of old pension system for State government employees, total empowerment of the panchayati raj system and independence of the law enforcement agency. We will also unconditionally return those unused lands acquired by the government to their rightful owners, said the party.

“In the present situation, the police officers are given orders by the ruling party’s functionaries and this is unfortunate for a democracy. We will finish the political rule and establish the rule of law. The State will flourish only when the panchayat and police are empowered and all kinds of social evils would automatically end,” said the CAP Sikkim.

Our future programmes would be expanded during this public outreach campaign and we will prepare all our programmes based on interaction with the people and younger generation, said the CAP Sikkim.
