Governor Om Prakash Mathur offered prayers at the Lord Shiva temple here in Lok Bhavan on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri on Sunday.
The Governor performed rituals; 'Rudrabhishekha' and 'Havana'. Following the traditional rituals, the Governor prayed to Lord Shiva for the well-being of the people, national prosperity and a life of health, peace and happiness for all citizens.
The Governor was joined by the officials and staff of Lok Bhavan and security personnel of CRPF and ITBP.
On the occasion, ITBP personnel captivated everyone with melodious and soulful bhajans which created an ambience of devotion and cultural harmony, a Lok Bhavan press release informs.
