Paru Ruchal takes charge as Pakyong senior SP

PAKYONG, (IPR): In a significant administrative development, Paru Ruchal officially assumed the charge of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Pakyong district on Thursday.

Prior to her new posting, Ruchal was serving as the SSP of the Special Branch, where she was instrumental in handling key responsibilities related to intelligence and internal security.

On her arrival at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Pakyong, Ruchal was warmly welcomed by officers and personnel of the Sikkim Police. As part of the customary protocol, she was presented with a Guard of Honour by the police contingent, marking the formal commencement of her tenure in the district.

The official handover ceremony took place in the chamber of the Superintendent of Police, where Dhan Maya Subba, the outgoing SP of Pakyong district, formally transferred the responsibilities.

Dhan Maya Subba, who has served the Pakyong district in her tenure, will now take on a new role as Vigilance Officer in the Power department.
