Senior Women’s Football League: Third straight wins for Singling SC & Chujachen SA

GANGTOK,: Singling SC continued its winning run with a 7-0 victory over Milan More FA on Saturday in the ongoing Senior Women’s Football League 2026 here at Paljor Stadium.

Simran Gurung and Laxmi Tamang scored three goals each while Kiran Pisda scored one goal in this emphatic victory for Singling SC. Simran Gurung was adjudged as the player of the match.

Singling SC has won all its three matches and leads the league with nine points besides scoring 26 goals so far.

Chujachen Sports Academy (Pakyong district) defeated Darjeeling XI 2-0 in another match of the day. Sabnam Rai was declared as the player of the match.

Chujachen Sports Academy has also won all its three games so far and has nine points.

Earlier in the day, Gangtok Himalayan SC thrashed Northerners (Mangan district) 10-0. Suju Hangma Limboo and Nim Lhamu Tamang scored one hattrick each while Signora Thapa and Samjana Rai netted a brace each. Signoria Thapa received the player of the match award.

Gangtok Himalayan SC has six points from three games.

Both Darjeeling XI and Northerners have lost all their three matches.

The league is organised by Sikkim Football Association with Generali Central Insurance Company as the title sponsor.

The six teams face each other in the league stage with the top four advancing to the semi-final round. All the matches will be played at Paljor Stadium with the final scheduled on March 8 to mark International Women’s Day.
