Senior Women’s Football League: Wins for Chujachen SA and Milan More FA

GANGTOK,: Chujachen Sports Academy (Pakyong district) blanked Northerners FC (Mangan district) 9-0 to secure three full points in their match of the Senior Women’s Football League 2026 at Paljor Stadium here.

Choden Bhutia led the rout with a hattrick. Chungmit Lepcha, Priya Chettri, Susana Rai, Kushum Chettri, Prasna Gurung, and Tika Maya Chettri scored one goal each.

Northerners FC’s Kussongmit Lepcha was named as the ‘Player of the Match’.

It was the second straight victory for Chujachen Sports Academy in this six-team league.

The Mangan district team, meanwhile, has suffered their second consecutive heavy defeat, conceding 24 goals in two games.

Earlier in the day, Milan More Football Academy (Siliguri) registered a convincing 3-0 victory over Darjeeling XI. Puja Oraon, Nikita Soy, and Ritik Chik Baraik were the goal scorers.

Pramila Das of the Siliguri side was declared as the ‘Player of the Match’.

Milan More Football Academy has now three points from two games while Darjeeling XI has lost both its two opening matches.

The league is organised by Sikkim Football Association with Generali Central Insurance Company as the title sponsor.

The six teams will face each other in the league stage with the top four advancing to the semi-final round. All the matches will be played at Paljor Stadium with the final scheduled on March 8 to mark International Women’s Day.
