Shanti Ram on a nationwide run to mark Sikkim’s 50th Statehood

Gangtok, (IPR): Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay officially flagged-off local athlete Shanti Ram Nepal as he embarks on an extraordinary journey, running across 29 States of India. His mission is to spread awareness about 50 years of Sikkim’s Statehood while promoting the vision of a ‘Sunaulo, Samriddha, and Samartha Sikkim’.

Extending his best wishes, the Chief Minister mentioned that this ambitious endeavor symbolizes not only his personal dedication but also Sikkim’s commitment to progress and unity.

“As he takes on this remarkable challenge, he carries the spirit of the State across the country, showcasing resilience, determination, and the essence of Sikkim’s golden jubilee celebrations”, he added.

Shanti Ram also expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for his support and blessings for this run stating that he expects to inspire many and bring national attention to the rich heritage and aspirations of Sikkim.
