GANGTOK,: Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA) on Sunday announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming Senior Women’s One Day Trophy Plate, which will held in Odisha from February 6 to 16.
Sarika Koli will lead the Sikkim side, which features a largely unchanged squad from the team that won the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy Plate in October 2025.
The Plate Group comprises six teams, viz. Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim. Matches will be played Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, and KIIT Cricket Stadium and Railway Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
The competition will follow a round-robin format, with each team playing the others once in the league stage. The top two teams will advance to the Plate final on February 16.
Sikkim will open their campaign against Meghalaya on February 6 at KIIT Cricket Stadium in Bhubaneswar. They will then face Mizoram on February 8, Nagaland on February 10, Manipur on February 12 and Bihar on February 14.
In the previous tournament, Sikkim enjoyed a historic unbeaten run in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy Plate, clinching the title with a 10-run victory over Nagaland in the final held in Agartala, Tripura on October 18, 2025.
SICA president Tika Subba said the association was confident of another strong showing.
“This team has already demonstrated its ability at the national level and we believe they have the discipline and hunger to perform consistently in the longer format as well,” the president said. “Our focus is not just on results, but on establishing Sikkim as a competitive force in both men’s and women’s cricket.”
Ahead of the tournament, the team will undergo a 15-day preparatory camp in Cuttack from January 19 to February 2.
