Sikkim girl triumphs in WAKO India National Kickboxing Pro League

GANGTOK, : Phur Deeki Sherpa has once again brought pride to Sikkim by winning the prestigious WAKO India National Kickboxing Pro League. Representing the Sikkim Association of Kickboxing (SAKO), she claimed victory in the fiercely contested 56kg Low Kick category.

The championship took place at Khidderpore, Kolkata from April 15 to 17, informs a press release.

PhurDeeki hails from LatukThek, Pakyong district. She has participated in 8 national kickboxing championships, securing five gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal. She has represented India in the WAKO World Kickboxing Championship and WAKO Asian Kickboxing Championship, the release mentions.
