Sikkim girls shine at national beauty pageants

GANGTOK, January: Miss India Continent winners from Sikkim today interacted with the media in a press conference held in a local hotel here.
The winners were Nisha Subba, Pratiksha Darjee, Yeshi Lhamu Moktan and Anju Subba.
Nisha Subba won the international title of Miss Asia Continent 2021. She is currently pursuing her M. Sc in environment and ecology.
Nisha, also the CEO of Sikkim Fashion Diva, said her aim is to manage pageant events which will give platforms to all the local models.
Pratiksha Darjee was the winner of Miss Teen India Continent and Miss Himalaya 2021. She is a student of Bahai School, Tadong. This was her first participation in pageants.
Likewise, Yeshi Lhamu has won Miss Akhand Bharat and Miss Teen Asia Supermodel 2021. She has been further selected for Miss Glory Of Universe pageant to be held at Thailand. She is a student of Greendale Senior Secondary School.
“I have reached the finals of Miss Teen India and Sikkim previously but never won the title. Those failures have made me more determined and confident and as a result today I have won one of the biggest titles” said Yeshi Lhamu.
Similarly, 18-year-old Anju Subba has won Miss Teen Asia Continent 2021 and is a student of Sirwani secondary school. “I feel really happy and proud to represent my State and culture in a national platform”, she said.
The competitions were held in Karol Bagh, Delhi on January 22.
