Students attack teacher at JNV Ravangla

GANGTOK, : Around 15-16 students of JNV, Ravangla allegedly attacked and severely injured a Maths teacher following an argument on Saturday evening. The teacher is presently undergoing treatment at Namchi district hospital.

As per the sources, the attack was the result of a heated argument between Maths teacher D.K. Kushwaha, who is also the junior house in-charge of the school, and the senior house students from classes 10, 11 and 12.

The school reported the incident to the police and the students involved have been sent home until the investigation is over.

The offenders involved in the incident are juvenile.
