GANGTOK:
B.S. Panth, the former SDF legislator who quit the party to join the SKM recently has said Chief Minister Pawan Chamling had completely lost his mental balance as he was terrified by his associates and party workers leaving SDF and openly voicing against his government.
Referring to Chamling’s comment on opposition parties including the SKM, Panth in a press release today said Chamling is desperate and has lost mental balance. “I have joined the SKM for Parivartan and several other SDF workers are preparing to leave the party. I feel pity on the Chief Minister’s mental situation,” said Panth.
The former deputy Speaker further claimed that it was obvious for someone who has relied on violence and corruption to run the government to see opposition parties as goondas. “He himself has asserted that the government depends on violence and corruption and proves that all such activities happened in the State at his behest,” added Panth. He further condemned the comment saying the Sikkimese people know the SKM party, its leaders and functionaries very well. “I don’t want to stoop to his level and make abusive remarks,” he said.
Hitting back on Chamling’s allegation of him having distributed fake allotment orders while being the SDF MLA from Temi Namphing, Panth said it was the Chief Minister who doled out fake allotment orders while being the Poklok-Kamrang MLA through the ADC (Planning).
