Golay said the culture of political victimisation of government employees by the present SDF government would come to end. The politics of party flags will also end and flags of all political parties would be removed from the houses of the public, he said. Party flags shall only be allowed at the residence of party leaders and party offices, he said.
There will be no more misuse of public money for purchase of luxury vehicles, our party’s Chief Minister will use a Scorpio brand vehicle, said the SKM president.
“There will be no more political vendetta. We will stop misuse of Vigilance Police as a tool of revenge to employees. Vigilance Police will function independently, genuine corrupts will be investigated by this institution without any political pressure,” said the SKM president. He also promised that there will be no political discrimination while distributing government benefits. We will give utmost priority to Gram Sabha so that needy people are benefited and there will be an end of nepotism in developmental works, he said.
Golay further promised to end service extension given to retired government officials. This system of service extension is freezing cadre based/timely promotion of junior rank officers, he said.
Golay also announced austerity measures in SKM government. He reiterated that the Chief Minister’s official residence will be shifted to a simple quarter while Mintokgang will be converted into a cancer hospital.
The CBI shall be given permission to investigate 25 years of rampant corruption by SDF leader and its regime, said the SKM president. He said there would be no post-poll violence after results are declared on May 23.
“We will maintain peace after counting of elections. If any our workers practice non-violence then the party itself will handover that worker to police. There will no more politics of revenge also. After elections we will not discriminate common people on ground of political affiliation,” said Golay.
As per the SKM release, Golay shared that Vidhayak Bhavan in all constituencies will be established where the area MLA needs to spent 15 days of every month at his/her home constituency to execute public works. There will be no trouble for public to meet their representatives, he said.
