Helping hands from Sikkim govt to Bihar

GANGTOK,: Bikash Basnet, the confidential secretary to the Chief Minister, yesterday met Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi to extend relief support from Chief Minister P.S. Golay on behalf of the Sikkim government to the Bihar government.
An IPR release informs that Basnet handed over a relief cheque of Rs. 25 lakh for the flood victims of Bihar.
Since the Chief Minister of Bihar was on a tour to do survey of the flood, the relief cheque was received by his principal secretary Chanchal Kumar.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar had a telephonic conversation with the Sikkim Chief Minister and thanked him and the people of Sikkim for the generous support to Bihar during this moment of crisis.
Golay extended his solidarity to Bihar and expressed his condolences to the families who lost their lives in the flood, the release mentions.
