Nomination papers of 16 candidates accepted for 4 constituencies of Soreng district

SORENG, (IPR): The scrutiny of nominations filed by 19 candidates from four Assembly Constituencies (ACs) under Soreng district was carried out in the chambers of Returning Officers (ROs) at DAC Soreng, today.

As informed by the ROs, the nomination papers of three candidates were cancelled as per the ECI norms. The three disqualified candidates are Sikkim Democratic Front Candidate (SDF) Pemba Sherpa from 06-Daramdin Constituency, SDF candidate Suk Raj Limboo from 07-Soreng Chakung and Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) candidate Aditya Golay (Tamang) also from 07-Soreng-Chakung Assembly Constituency.

It may be mentioned that the last day for withdrawal of candidature is on 30th March up to 3:00 pm.

The final list of 16 accepted candidates for General Elections 2024 from Soreng district are:

2. Dawa Ongdi Lepcha (CAP-Sikkim)

3. Erung Tenzing Lepcha (SKM)

4. Sancho Lepcha (BJP)

 

06-Daramdin Assembly Constituency (BL):

1. Phurba Dorjee Sherpa (BJP)

2. Pem Norbu Sherpa (SDF)

3. Mingma Norbu Sherpa (SKM)

4. Pem Dorjee Sherpa (CAP-Sikkim)

 

07-Soreng-Chakung Assembly Constituency:

1. Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) (SKM)

2. Dr. Akar Dhoj Limbu (SDF)

3. Purna Singh Subba (BJP)

4. Pobin Hang Subba (CAP-Sikkim)

 

 08-Salghari-Zoom Assembly Constituency (SC):

1. Kaushal Lohagan (CAP-Sikkim)
