Three commit suicide in separate incidents

GANGTOK, : As many as three persons allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents in the State on Sunday.

In the first incident, a 55-year-old man, Dhan Bhadur Darnal, was found hanging in the bathroom of his residence at Sadhu Gaon, Ray Khola. He allegedly committed suicide between 3:00 and 3:30 pm. The deceased, a former Sikkim Police head constable, was reportedly suffering from hypertension, according to preliminary investigations.

In the second case, a 28-year-old youth, Ajay Rai, was found hanging at his aunt’s residence in Lower Lingdum at around 5:30 pm. Ajay, a resident of Chandmari, Gangtok, had been staying there during his winter vacation.

The third incident took place at Mangmoo, Dentam in West Sikkim, where Nar Bahadur Gajmer was found hanging from a tree on Sunday evening.
