lifted the first Summer Cup Futsal Tournament, defeating Power Kyongsa by 4 to
3 goals in the final played on Sunday.
The futsal tournament was
organized by the Darap Football Association (DFA) with the objective of
spreading awareness on drug addiction, rising suicide cases, and the negative
impact of online gambling practices.
The final match saw a
competitive contention as both teams embraced an attacking play, and despite
Brotherhood FC, who had taken the lead with three goals in the first half, they
struggled in the second half and conceded three easy scores to come to a par
with Power Kyongsa.
However, Brotherhood FC,
displaying measured, precise, and coordinated assists, was able to find the net
in the final moment, which sealed the fate for Power Kyongsa's defeat.
The winner and runner-up teams
were given cash prizes and attractive trophies by the organizing committee.
Social worker Basant Tamang graced the occasion as the chief guest. He appreciated the initiative of DFA and expressed that sports, arts, literature, and cultural activities remained an integral part of human civilization to deal with issues such as drugs, suicide, and online gambling practices.
