CAP Sikkim holds leadership skills workshop

GANGTOK, : A four-day residential workshop ‘Next Gen Leader’s Connect Program’ was organised by the All Sikkim Youth Welfare Council under the aegis of Citizen Action Party (CAP) Sikkim.

Held at Pokol under Rabongla subdivision, this dynamic initiative brought together young party leaders for an immersive experience aimed at honing leadership skills, fostering political awareness, and igniting a passion for public service, said the CAP Sikkim in a press statement today.

The meticulously designed four-day program was a vibrant blend of inspiration and action, featuring guest lectures from distinguished individuals of profound knowledge and experience, alongside thought-provoking presentations by senior party leaders on diverse topics. Participants engaged in a series of enriching activities, including debates, speeches, bonfires, and interpersonal communication exercises, all crafted to sharpen their leadership acumen and build camaraderie among the youth brigade of CAP-Sikkim, the release mentions.

CAP Sikkim president Ganesh Rai was the chief guest and Shanthi Giri was the guest of honour for the valedictory function, also attended by party functionaries.

T.R. Sharma (Nepal) presented a comprehensive overview of the workshop, expressing heartfelt gratitude to CAP Sikkim president Ganesh Rai for spearheading this visionary initiative. He lauded the program as a cornerstone in nurturing the next generation of leaders equipped to serve Sikkim with dedication and foresight, the release mentions.

In his address, the CAP Sikkim president underscored the critical importance of such workshops in empowering young leaders with a deep understanding of politics and governance.

“The youth are the torchbearers of our party’s vision and the future of Sikkim. This program has equipped them with the tools to lead with integrity, serve with compassion, and take the ideals of the Citizen Action Party to every corner of our State,” said Rai. Urging participants to harness their newfound knowledge for the greater good, he emphasized CAP’s unwavering commitment to building a vibrant, inclusive, and progressive Sikkim.

The valedictory session concluded with the CAP Sikkim president presenting certificates of participation to all attendees, celebrating their dedication and enthusiasm. In a special highlight, Lura Bhujel was honored with the prestigious “Best Speaker Award” for her exceptional performance in the debate, symbolizing the brilliance and potential of CAP Sikkim’s youth wing, the release mentions.
