CM inaugurates SBS branch at Bhanjyang

NAMCHI, : State Bank of Sikkim (SBS) opened its 57th branch at Bhanjyang, Namchi district today.

The new branch was inaugurated by Chief Minister P.S. Golay, accompanied by his spouse and former MLA Krishna Rai. Also present were Urban Development minister Bhojraj Rai, Rural Development minister Sonam Lama, Roads & Bridges M.N. Dahal, Agriculture minister Puran Gurung, Melli MLA N.B Pradhan, Namchi-Singithang MLA Satish Chandra Rai, Chief Minister’s political secretary Jacob Khaling, Namchi Municipal Council chairman Ganesh Rai, zilla panchayats, SBS chairman D.B Gurung, SBS managing director Phurba Wangdi Bhutia, district level officers of Namchi district.

The new branch, located at Bhanjyang Bazaar under Maniram Phalidara Gram Panchayat Unit, has eight staffs, it was informed.

The Chief Minister along with Krishna Rai visited the main office, safe room and office of branch manager.

During his interaction with the staff of the newly-inaugurated branch, the Chief Minister congratulated the bank staff and advised them to provide their best service to the people.
