Bista interacts with State BJP office-bearers in Gangtok

GANGTOK,: Darjeeling Lok Sabha MP and Sikkim BJP in-charge Raju Bista on Tuesday attended an organizational meeting of BJP Sikkim, with State office bearers, district presidents, general secretaries, and other senior leaders at Ranipool.

“It was a valuable opportunity to interact with our organisational team, understand the priorities and responsibilities ahead, and strengthen coordination across the organisation. Our karyakartas are the strength of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Together, we remain committed to strengthening the organisation at every level and working with dedication towards the vision of Vikshit Bharat and Vikshit Sikkim,” said Bista.

Bista had reached Sikkim on Monday after recently being appointed as the State BJP in-charge. He addressed the party workers at the State BJP headquarters in Singtam.

Later after the BJP Sikkim organisational meeting, Bista visited the Lower Syari ICDS Centre to interact with the ICDS and ASHA workers and spent time with the children at the centre, as part of the ongoing Sewa Saptah Abhiyan.

“I appreciate the commitment of the workers towards providing care, nutrition and early childhood support to the children. Such interactions are important to understand the ground realities, listen to the concerns of our frontline workers and work towards further strengthening ICDS services,” said Bista.

As part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, BJP Sikkim Mahila Morcha had organised the Aanganwadi Milan at the ICDS Centre, Lower Shyari, reaffirming the party’s commitment to community service and the welfare of women and children.

Bista was accompanied by the State BJP general secretary Arjun Rai, Mahila Morcha president & councillor Srijana Chettri, along with party executives and Morcha functionaries, a State BJP press release informs.

During the programme, Bista felicitated the dedicated Aanganwadi and ASHA workers for their valuable contribution towards maternal and child welfare. He also interacted warmly with the children and shared special moments with them.

The visiting delegation reviewed the functioning of the ICDS Centre and interacted with the workers regarding the facilities, services and challenges faced at the centre. As part of the service initiative, nutrition supplements and other essential items were handed over for the benefit of the children and beneficiaries, said the State BJP.
