GANGTOK,: With an objective to further boost the creative
economy of Sikkim and to move towards making Sikkim the creative capital of
India, Asian Anime and Manga Academy (AAMA) is hosting Animecon 2026, an IP
which has been running nationally for the last decade across India. Animecon
2026 aims at boosting the creative community of Sikkim and also endeavor to
make Sikkim the Anime and Manga destination of India in the future, a press
release informs.
The poster release was done at the Creative Economy Forum, Season 4 at
PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi. The poster release was done in
the presence of Yougan Tamang, Press Secretary to the Chief Minister,
Government of Sikkim, Supriya Sule, Director, Creative Economy Forum, Dewaker
Basnet, Founder, AAMA, Aman & Sachin, President, Gaming Council of India.
Animecon 2026 looks at bringing passionate creators in the field of
Anime and Manga from Sikkim and the nearby hills, guest artists from various States
across India and also officials of various embassies of India who could further
the creative economy in Sikkim.
The dates scheduled for Animecon 2026 is December 12-13, the release mentions.
