Himalayan SC wins Bimal Ghosh memorial trophy

GANGTOK,: Sikkim Himalayan SC won a night football tournament held at Oodlabari, West Bengal recently.
The Gangtok-based club defeated fellow Sikkim team Sikkim Police 2-1 in the final to lift the prestigious Bimal Ghosh Memorial Running Winners Trophy.
En route to the final, the Himalayan SC defeated Ramkrishna Byam Siksha Sangha (Siliguri) 4-1 and Jhapa XI (Nepal) 4-1.
Himalayan SC founder expressed his happiness over the victory. “The players performed well against strong opponents in the tournament.  I would like to congratulate all the players, coaches and managers for ending the year with a winner’s trophy.”
The knock-out tournament was organised by Netaji Subash Athletic Club and Mohan Sporting Club. 
The Himalayan SC will next play in Chief Minister’s Gold Cup at Jorethang during Maghey Mela.
